Pearson has extensive board experienceóboth as a board member and CEO. As a CEO he's had fun figuring out the leadership style and "social style" of 15 different board chairs since 1974. Note: "Drivers" want the bottom line while "analyticals" also want the background notes. He's written numerous articles and manuals on nonprofit board issues.
John served six years on the board of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), was chairman of the presidential search committee (to replace a CEO/founder) as a board member for Interdev, and recently served as a board member at Bakke Graduate University, Seattle, Wash.

(www.CEODialogues.org), and is a partner with The Andringa Group (www.TheAndringaGroup.com), led by Bob Andringa, former president of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities. John and his wife, Joanne, have been married for 38 years and they've had the privilege of traveling and/or teaching leadership, management and board governance in 20 countries.
They enjoy talking about "social styles" (drivers, analyticals, amiables and expressives) and also team teach a workshop, "When He's the Workaholic and She's the Co-dependent."
John sold (but never rode) a 100th anniversary Harley (he won it at a trade show) and has done a little clergy work on the side (including the marriage ceremony for his son and daughter-in-law). Every couple he's married is still married and every person he's buried is still buried.
He's also privileged to serve as a member of the Board of Reference of three strategic organizations: Leadership Catalyst (www.leadershipcatalyst.org), Pioneer Clubs (www.pioneerclubs.org), and Strategic Resource Group (www.strategicresourcegroup.org).
John played an FBI agent (actually...just one scene) in the movie, The Genius Club (www.TheGeniusClubMovie.com) and recently wrote the Faith-Based Leader's Resource Guide, and other materials, for the Rocky Balboa movie (www.RockyResources.com).
The Pearsons are blessed to live just one mile from family. Their son, Jason, owns a marketing and graphic design business (www.pearpod.com) and is the co-founder of Mission Print (www.MissionPrint.com). Jason and Melinda are the happy, but tired, parents of triplets (www.pearpod.com/photos), Emelia, Zuzana and Anderson, who in 2007 welcomed a baby sister, Annika.
